I have a combination of over 16 years as a Corrections Officer and Police Officer. As a police officer, I have worked multiple crime scenes from domestic violence to captured murder. I have testified in municipal, state, and federal courts. As a corrections officer, I have supervised over 5,000 detainees, from those who were mentally ill to those who were among the most violence offender. My experience is unique, yet necessary for the qualification of a Sheriff. I earned a Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice from Faulkner University and currently pursuing my Juris Doctorate Degree at Birmingham School of Law.
